German Wirehaired Pointers
We both had a passion for dogs before we met, but in different ways. 
Mark was always the bird hunter, having an Irish setter when he was younger and dreaming of other breeds. Lori had dogs as a child but got the competition bug when she acquired a Doberman pinscher with which she competed in obedience and conformation shows. The love of dogs was a major factor they had in common and a passion they decided to expand upon.
We found a breed that had the personality and abilities we both found important and could both compete with, the German wirehaired pointer. Now, more than 13 years later we have five of them and going strong in several venues, including field events, conformation showing, agility and obedience. Our dogs have earned 6 Master Hunter titles and 12 Senior Hunter titles. Oh, and yes, they are all our personal pets and hunting dogs of course! We love their goofy personalities, their intelligence and their enthusiasm for life.
We have indoor-outdoor heated kennels on 53 acres of grasslands and ponds. All dogs get daily exercise, fresh water daily, and tender loving care. We love dogs. We've been told by our clients that when they take their dogs home after he/she has spent time with us that they seem to be sad to come home.
Others have called our place "Dog Heaven". We try to cater the best we can to every dog's needs. We like to think of our kennels as “one-stop shopping”. We can show your dog in conformation shows as well as put that hunting title on him/her.
Mark is the past President of the German Wirehaired Pointer Club of America. We are also members of Fort Detroit German Wirehaired Pointer Club.
