Handling Contract
I
have been handling dogs in conformation shows since I was 16 in 1979 and have
been involved in all aspects of purebred dogs most of my life. I even
worked as a veterinary technician for about 10 years before starting my career
as a wildlife biologist. I started handling
Doberman Pinschers and
bloodhounds for the kennel I worked for.
I started handling for others 9
years ago and have loved it so much I decided it was something I wanted to do
for a living. Through the years I have earned points and championships on
several different breeds including weimaraners, wirehaired pointing griffons, basset hounds,
dachshunds, afghans, borzois, airedales, soft-coated wheatons,
newfoundlands, Irish setters, German shorthaired pointers, spinoni italiano,
Labrador retriever, Chinese shar pei, and many German wirehaired pointers. We take pride in our excellent dog
care program
including conditioning, training and presentation of quality show and field dogs.
All dogs in our care get the same
tender loving care and respect that we give our own dogs. While a majority
of dog owners like to keep their dogs at home between shows, we encourage you to
have your dog stay with us. We try to integrate the dogs into our home
with our own dogs to increase the bond that is important to
have between a dog and handler. I'd be happy to discuss your dog's
