We specialize in field training for
pointing breeds. We’ll get your dog
ready to go hunting with you and/or run in a hunt test. You tell
us
what you want your dog to do in the field and we’ll do our best to make that
happen. If we think the dog does not
have the ability for what you want it to do, whether it’s the dog’s level of
maturity, temperament, or whatever the problem may be, we will let you know as
soon as possible so you’re not wasting time and money.
We do not take dogs under one year of
age because we believe a dog needs to have a puppyhood. That first year should be a fun time for the
dog, getting them exposed to wild birds and having fun with them. We also specialize in soft-temperamented
dogs who need a firm but gentle hand and lots of patience. We use a Dogtra electronic training collar
that was built to give a dog the least amount of correction that will get
results.
We have indoor-outdoor heated dog kennels and 53 acres of grassland and wetlands for dogs to run.
